Vi har bedt en række af vores nærmeste partnere rundt omkring i verden om at sende os et virtuelt postkort. Sådan bare helt fra hjertet om, hvordan det går hos dem. Godt som dårligt. Sådan et man i gamle dage skrev til sin familie eller en god ven.

Dagens hilsen er fra Pauline i Kuala Lumpur. Sammen med Mark i Georgetown på Penang driver hun et lille team af passionerede gadekøkkenguider. Men som hun skriver, bliver det nok aldrig det samme igen...

Dear Jakob and We Travel

- In my 11years of guiding and being home in the capital and heart of Malaysia- Kuala Lumpur I had never seen, heard nor felt the city as it is today in the midst of the Covid pandemic...

Lonely, empty, shops closing down, half the street stalls and immigrants have left, and the last authentic Traditional Chinese Medicine shop under the threat and the last span of time. Chinatown will never be the same again....

Yet there is Hope. Mother nature is healing, wildlife is emerging and exploring, families bond as they are home for longer hours and humanity kinder and counting their blessings. We look forward to change and embracing the future to come together.

Mother Earth has been kind and there is no lack of water from the rain. We cannot wait for Spring to bring new crops to life! And yes, you will be able to taste them at our Restaurant in a couple of months. Sometimes we just need to STOP and believe that we can come back stronger and tastier. ”
